A Lawyer that preys on the old and the vulnerable.

I, think that people generally have a bad opinion of Lawyers, we tend to generalize. This is unfair, as really it is, just the case of the "bad one apple that spoils the crop".

The Man that this Hub is about, certainly wants to be seen as a Christian, a Friend to the old, and vulnerable, certainly he is plausible enough. He is an older Man and we tend to trust older people don't we?

However, I have seen first hand how quickly this mans false facade of friendliness descends to something quite different, something hostile.

To date I am being used as a Pawn, in a Game, where a person, that has a lovely nature, a disposition, that finds any form of conflict totally alien. On the other hand I was brought up to fight for my believes, losing ocasionally, but mostly winning. I can say that I am an honest person, and give kindness where it is due. On the other hand when faced with evil, I am prepared to fight to the finish.

This Lawyer is actually attempting to , add Property owned by the the Sole Beneficiary to another completely separate property which they have inherited. Sadly for the Lawyer, New Zealand Law requires my signature as well as the Beneficiary, as I am a Partner of that person and have been for over nine Years. I wish to add that I have no interest in the Property of the deceased, but will not sign to protect the dodgy Agreement prepared by this Lawyer. I have however prepared a Property Agreement, relinquishing all rights to the deceased Property. I have signed this one.

An ex Wife, is being used as an excuse, that person did take money, but I am not that person. The Lawyer knows my character only too well. I have stated that I could have had a share of my Grandmothers Estate, which would have equated to far more money, I also had no interest in that. All my life I have believed that i have to pay my way. Bludging is foreign to me. Maybe it is because I did come a good gene pool, and have inherited the ethics of my Parents. Maybe I am just honest.This makes it even more difficult for me to understand someone that considers themselves a devout Christian, is capable of such acts.

So, it equates to a few tiny lines in a Will, A Will written before I was on the scene, that a conniving Man is able to hold money and property in "Trust", on a Will. Ther is absolutely no Trust, so no therefore no Trust deed and no written instructions, just the Lawyers insistence that he is, his words "the Voice from the Grave".

Based, on the few words added to the Will, and signed by a party, that would certainly have had no idea, what the implications of the words even meant. This man is able to control the money to make himself a good interest,(Lawyers Trust Funds recieve quite high interest, Interest that is only partly passed on to the Client, is able to write Letters which he will obviously be charging a poultice for. The voice from the grave had set up the Will, so there were only two Trustees, he and the Sole Beneficiary. "The voice from the Grave" has all the say in how the money is invested, and believe me "the voice from the Grave" has not got alot of acumen in that area. So, risky stuff. It is possible in this type of situation in this economic climate, for all types of horror stories to unfold.

O.K. A Lawyer has to have his Clients money in a Trust Account, as I am sure many people still have the opinion, that once in that Account, it will stay. But No, that is not the Case. I have recall of sitting in a certain legal Office, have I got your attention "the voice from the Grave", when a fracas burst out in the Room,next to where I was sitting, on that ocassion money had been moved from the trust Account, and the Call went out to have a Prayer Meeting to remedy the situation. I could not believe what I was hearing!, I just sat sipping my Coffee dumbfounded.

The Lawyer asked me, could I be counted on to be discreet and because one of the praying parties was a friend of my Fathers and a Man he held in high respect, I have kept that ghastly episode to myself. Sadly that man has passed away now and he was not the one that moved the money, I believe that he was genuine in praying for its return.

Very soon after that I tried to rent one of a series Shops, the Lady that owned them told me that she was a Widow, she said that she had been left the Shops and really didn't know how to be a Landlord, so she had appointed a Lawyer, Guess who! You got it "the voice from the Grave" Alone in a foreign Country, she believed that the place had been totally revamped, as she did not travel to this Town, where the shops and Flats were, she never saw that there had been no renovations, she also told me that she was having trouble understanding how the rent worked, she expected more than she was receiving. I rang the Man, he told me that she just didn't understand, so I tol;d him, I have looked at the Flats and they hadn't seen a coat of Paint in Years, the Tenants had piles of moans as well about the state of the place. They told me that they were Dives, and could not wait to get out.

This Man advertises constantly for people to take out Wills and Family Trusts, he claims to be Christian, I believe that he is from the Darker side, and trots along to more than one denomination of Church. ( Mostly old people at Church these days.) He claims this is because he wants inclusiveness, I claim that he has quite another Agenda.

So please any one reading this, if you have elderly relatives that could be lured, in by this type of trash, advise them and make sure that if they must have a Trust, that there are more than two people on it, one a non Lawyer, preferably an unbiased person.

In the meantime I continue to group with others that have been effected by this Man, many are to frightened to come forward as he might sue them. To that I say, you cannot be sued for stating the truth, or what you believe to be 100% the truth.

"To the Voice from the grave yes I am stalking you", I will be attending the same Churches as you do, I will attend the Amateur Dram Group, you belong to, everywhere, that people are vulnerable or old,where you visit with the sole purpose to harvest I will be watching.
